ON EDGE by Justice in Motion

A fusion of heart-stopping parkour and compelling outdoor theatre tells the gripping story of modern slavery. A visually stunning, breath-taking and entertaining piece of theatre that asks – what does it really mean to be free?

Parkour Park by Justice in Motion

A chance for younger festival visitors to try out the freedom and movement of parkour in a safe and managed way, overseen by fully trained and qualified parkour instructors.

When: 11.00 – 11.45 / 13.00 – 14.45 / 16.00 -17.00

Suitable for ages 5+

All children must be supervised by an adult at all times.

Lançe moi en l’air by Joli Vyann

‘Lançe moi en l’air’ translates as ‘throw me in the air’ and this show is just that. An exciting combination of dance and partner acrobatics in this spectacular, physical performance that stuns all ages.

Lifted by Mimbre

A collection of funny, poetic and surprising moments which explore in different ways what it means when one body is carried by another. Mixing dance, theatre and circus to celebrate the expressions and impressions that appear when three strong women move, lift and balance each other.

The Spurting Man from Avanti Display

A classic piece of European street theatre, performed to Ravel’s Bolero, the show tells of the unequal relationship between the famous speciality performer, ‘The Spurting Man’, and his downtrodden assistant. The assistant despises his master. The master ignores the assistant. The bizarre and unequal relationship lays the basis for a series of comic interactions culminating in a human fountain. Expect lots of laughs and water!

String and Strong's Great Big Game-A-Thon by Fully Booked Theatre

String and Strong want to play a game but they’ve forgotten how to play…thank goodness you’re here!

Expect anarchic fun and Old Skool games all day long with a little help from parents and children alike.

Back Chat Brass

Belting out pop classics, hip hop and funk in contemporary brass band style, these guys are sure to get your feet tapping.

Symoné

Symoné works between contemporary circus and dance putting a spin on traditional hula hooping and rollerskating as she combines multiple hoops on roller skates and dancing in high-heeled roller skates. She can spin up to 50 hula hoops at once and holds a Guinness World Record!

Titan the Robot

Funny and full of surprises, TITAN stands 8 feet tall. He’s made plenty of TV appearances, hung out with celebs, and even been to the Sochi Winter Olympics. The show is a unique blend of comedy, street theatre and music.

WilderNests by Handmade Theatre

Meet Daisy, a budding young songwriter, as she learns to embrace nature and get inspired. Follow her journey of discovery as she makes new friends, singing and dancing with the woodland creatures.

Featuring original music, storytelling, colourful characters and beautiful puppets, come and join the WilderNests and connect with the wild.

The Full Shebang Giant Doodle LIVE

FREE WORKSHOP – DROP-IN

Throughout the day a huge doodle, made up of portraits, will be created live by illustrator Emily Catherine and print-design alchemists Dizzy Ink.

Come and sit for your portrait to be added to the large-scale mural. Before it goes up, your portrait will be copied and coloured and you can then take your postcard-sized portrait home with you.

Shebang Introducing

FREE WORKSHOPS – BOOKING REQUIRED

Join the Dizzy Ink gang in designing and crafting your own professionally made tote bag to take home. Fun for all ages, you’ll use vinyl, collage and heat-press in your creation. You’ll need to book a slot to take part – pop to the Festival Info Point to reserve your place on the day.
